Happy Tuesday!
Welcome to the first issue of DIY Creator Hub. Let's jump straight in.
This Week's Featured Project: Budget Bathroom Mirror Swap
Cost: $45-65 | Time: 30 minutes | Difficulty: Easy
That plain, frameless builder mirror above your vanity? Swap it for a framed mirror from Wayfair or Target and your bathroom instantly feels like a boutique hotel.
How to do it:
Remove the old mirror (careful - they're usually glued with adhesive clips)
Find your studs with a stud finder
Mount a French cleat or heavy-duty picture hangers
Hang your new mirror and level it
Our pick: Target Hearth & Hand 24x36 wood frame mirror ($55) or the Wayfair Industrial 36x30 ($45 on sale).
Pro tip: Match your mirror frame to your hardware finish (black mirror frame + black cabinet pulls = chef's kiss).
3 Weekend Projects Under $50
1. Floating Shelves ($35)
Two 24-inch pine boards from Home Depot + floating shelf brackets from Amazon. Sand, stain with Minwax Golden Oak, mount on studs. Done in 2 hours.
2. Accent Wall with Painter's Tape ($25)
One gallon of Behr paint in a bold color + FrogTape. Create a geometric pattern on one wall. YouTube "geometric accent wall" for pattern ideas.
3. Under-Sink Organizer ($15)
A tension rod + some dollar store bins turns cabinet chaos into organized storage. Total time: 10 minutes.
Tool Deal of the Week
Ryobi ONE+ 18V Cordless Drill/Driver Kit is $59 at Home Depot (normally $79). If you don't own a cordless drill yet, this is the one to start with. We use it for 90% of projects.
Before/After of the Week
This week: A reader turned their dated 1990s oak kitchen into a modern farmhouse dream for $380 total (cabinet paint + new hardware + peel-and-stick backsplash).
That's it for this week. Hit reply if you try any of these - we love seeing your results.
See you next Tuesday!
